Poppies is located at the south end of renowned Chaweng beach, well away from the hustle and bustle of the main resort area, and this small luxury resort has earned its reputation, since opening in 1994 as Koh Samui most exclusive boutique hideaway.
Poppies Samui offers the same tranquility as its famous namesake in Bali. The Resort features just 24 luxuriously appointed Thai style cottages hide amid the greenery, each offering privacy from the others, and each surrounded by colorful and exotic gardens with meandering paths, bubbling streams, fishponds, teak bridges and waterfalls.

Poppies restaurant is now firmly established as the leading restaurant on the island, where guests can dine under the stars overlooking the beach or in the magnificent Ayuthaya-style teak pavilion beside the pool.
The restaurant is open from 06.30 hrs till midnight, with 3 separate comprehensive a la carte menus for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Lunch is available until 16.00 hrs and last orders for dinner is 23.00 hrs. There is discreet entertainment every evening. And the highlight of the week is a spectacular "Thai Night" on Saturdays, when musicians, dancers and local artisans demonstrate their traditional skills.

The cottages combine the very best of Thai style with western comforts and amenities. The carved roof panels, floors, doors and windows are of solid teak and the fabrics are of finest Thai cotton and silk.
The bathrooms are unique, with a sunken bathtub - shower set in marble and a private garden. Outside is a private terrace with two fully reclining teak easy chairs.
