There are beautiful waterfalls to bathe in, wild orchids to view on jungle jaunts and deep and fabled caves to visit. Guests can ride elephants through the jungle and visit native Mon villages or simply bask in the sun and dive off the verandah for a swim in the river. As dusk turns into night and the river changes its mood, the cool evening reverberates the magical sounds of Mon music and their bizarre Balinese-like dancing. The night wanders on like the river; whispers and smiles pass across candlelit wooden tables as our host tells folkloric stories of the river.
The River Kwai Jungle Raft has a concept concerning with preserving the nature, therefore water is treated by septic tanks, and there is no electricity there. Moreover, there has never been any complaint about a Malaria Disease since 1976 up until now. During the day simply bathe away the last traces of the outside world under breathtaking waterfalls, view wild orchids on jungle jaunts or explore deep inside mystical caves, ride an elephant through the bush to 'Mon' village, or just bask in the sun, before diving off a verandah for a cooling swim in the River Kwai. As day fades into night and the mood of the river becomes more reflective, the magical sounds of 'Mon' music can be heard echoing through the night. Guests may choose to watch the 'Mon'dancing in the Jungle Rafts own theater. This traditional dance is both unique and beautiful.
